This pot glows.
A substantial hand-hammered copper olla from Santa Clara del Cobre, Michoacán — Mexico’s historic coppersmithing village. Raised entirely by hand from sheet copper, with deep melon-form ribbing swelling out from a narrow foot to a wide shoulder, then drawing back to a flared, hand-finished rim. The entire surface carries visible hammer facets, and the rib divisions are hand-worked rather than cast or pressed.
The patina is exceptional — warm rose, russet and gold tones shifting across the body, with darker oxidation settled into the rib channels. Untouched and unpolished.
Remains of a blue and silver “Made in Mexico” foil sticker on the underside.
